The competition on the Council of Europe law “Erga Omnes”
The competition on the Council of Europe law “Erga Omnes”, organized by the International Law and Arbitration Association (BILA) and the Council of Europe Information Point in Minsk was held from 2 till 6 July 2018.
The competition was attended by 20 students of various specialties from Belarusian universities. On each of the competition days the participants had to carry out numerous tasks on the subject of the Council of Europe law both individually and as part of teams.
According to the results of the competition the first place was taken by Diana Faletskaya, (International University “MITSO”, Minsk) and Viktoryia Kryshtal (International University “MITSO”, Minsk). The second place was shared by Eugene Parkhomchuk (Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, Gorki) and Kirill Khilchuk (Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, Brest). The third place was awarded to Diana Makhnach (Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, Vitebsk) and Elizaveta Shkapets (Minsk State Linguistic University, Minsk). The main prize for the students, who took first and second places, is a visit to the World Forum for Democracy, which will be held in Strasbourg (France) from 19 till 21 November 2018.
All participants received certificates of participation, and six winners were also presented with books on the law of the European Convention on Human Rights and valuable prizes.
