Winners of the "Erga Omnes" competition at the World Forum for Democracy
The World Forum for Democracy was held in Strasbourg from 8 till 10 November 2017. It was attended by four winners of the Council of Europe law Republican competition "Erga Omnes" (2017). They are: Aleksandra Sandul (Belarusian State University, Minsk), Andrey Nagibin (International University “MITSO”, Minsk), Vasilina Akulizkaya (Vitebsk branch of the International University “MITSO”, Vitebsk) and Yuriy Gordeichyk (Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, Gorki).
Vadim Reznikov, the Head of the Department of International Relations BSU, accompanied the delegation of students.
In 2017 the Forum was focused on the role of political parties and the media in the context of growing populism. The aim of the Forum was to consider new initiatives and approaches that could strengthen democratic practices and help parties, the media, and other political figures to function optimally in the context of democracy in the 21st century.
