A lecture for master's students of the regional master programme in human rights and democratization

A lecture for master's students of the regional master programme in human rights and democratization, conducted in cooperation with the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University was held in the office of the Council of Europe Information Point in Minsk on May 17, 2018. The Head of the Information Point Ms Larissa Lukina was the lecturer.

The lecture was devoted to the legal status of the Council of Europe, the procedure of development and adoption of conventions and agreements within the framework of organization, mechanisms for monitoring the fulfillment of obligations by the states.

Considerable attention was paid to the cooperation of the Council of Europe with Russia, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, as well as with Belarus. The master's students made acquainted with the Action Plans of the organization for each state and discussed the areas of cooperation which constitute outstanding interest for them.

The master's students were also informed about the work of the Council of Europe Information Point in Minsk and it`s activities.

The staff of the Council of Europe Information Point in Minsk enclose gratitude to the Head of the Department of Diplomatic and Consular Service of the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University, Candidate of Science (History), Associate Professor A.V. Rusakovich for the organization of the meeting.
